Wildlands Restoration Volunteers is looking for high school students (ages 14-18) to serve as part of our conservation leadership program. Youth who participate in this program will have unique opportunities to learn environmental science in the field, build leadership and job skills and lead groups of peers and adults. In addition, participants will meet new people who share their interests, access regional leadership opportunities, and earn service or internship hours if needed.

Mentors are adults (21+) who are current WRV Crew Leaders (or have comparable qualifications through their work or other volunteer experience). Mentors have a direct positive impact on the lives of youth participants and the local environment, and help ensure a safe, fun, engaging and rewarding experience.
Mentors work with WRV staff to run WYLD events one Saturday per month during the school year, helping to supervise events; developing and leading environmental education, teambuilding, or leadership activities; participating in planning meetings an check-ins; and more. Applicants should have prior experience working with and leading youth, and be able to pass a background check.
