Already Working on your Legacy Gift to WRV?
As with all estate planning, WRV recommends that you consult an estate attorney in the planning and drafting of any documents pertaining to the disposition of your estate. There are numerous other methods of conveying charitable gifts, which are not discussed here, that you may wish to discuss with your attorney and tax advisor. View suggested bequest language.
Making a qualified charitable distribution to Wildlands Restoration Volunteers can satisfy your Required Minimum Distribution and result in tax savings! The distribution must be made out to WRV and mailed to our headquarters at 2100 Collyer St., Longmont, CO 80501. Our IRS tax ID# is 46-0505155. We’re happy to help. Email sarah@wrv.org, call 303-543-1411, x108, or talk to your financial advisor
Did you know that you can attach a free “charitable giving rider” on your life insurance policy, gift a policy that’s no longer needed, name WRV as a beneficiary, or donate life insurance dividends? You can! Each has different tax benefits; all can help you make a bigger difference than most people can make using income. Talk to your accountant, insurance broker, or tax advisor for the best strategy for you.
A pledge is a commitment of financial support. Typically pledges are paid in increments—weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually. You can give without pledging, of course. We encourage pledging because pledges help WRV plan more wisely. To make a pledge, fill out the Pledge Letter and mail it back to WRV.
Do you have high quality tools or camping equipment which is in good working order and appropriate for WRV events? We have a Wish List of items that would be extremely useful. Please contact us at info@wrv.org to see if your unwanted items could help out at WRV events. Thank you!
